Clients are required to sign a responsibility delineation agreement prior to engagement. Terra Vista does not assume liability for product design or manufacturing defects. Product Liability (PL) insurance coverage is a mandatory prerequisite for all PSE certification engagements.
What a METI Recall Actually Means
Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) maintains a public recall database. Recent cases involving electrical products include failures related to overheating, insufficient insulation, and substandard wiring — all detectable through proper PSE testing. A single recall notice from METI means full market withdrawal, not just a fine. The company name is published on METI’s website permanently, visible to all distributors and retail platforms conducting due diligence.
